Application For Admission

 University of Rio Grande Master's Programs

 

Master of Business Administration

Students will be considered for admission to the Master of Business Administration program after they have completed the
following:

    1. Submit a completed application for admission and application fee of $25 (fee is waived with online submission) .
    2. Arranged for official transcripts of credit from all previously attended colleges or universities to be mailed directly to the University of Rio Grande
    3. Arranged for Three (3) references to submit letters of recommendation, attesting to appropriate professional experience and probable success as a graduate student.
    4. Submit official scores from the GMAT and/or TOEFL exams. (Note only international students must take the TOEFL exam.)
    5. Submit resume and cover letter.
    6. submit a personal statement essay which discusses your motivations for enrolling in the Rio Grande MBA program, short-term and long-term career goals, how the Rio Grande MBA will help you to meet these goals, and what specific academic, personal, and work experiences qualify you for the Rio Grande MBA program.
    7. Schedule your personal Interview.
    8. Receive acceptable admission Index score

Master of Education in Classroom Teaching 

Students will be considered for admission to the Master of Education program when they have completed the following:

    1. A completed application for admission with application fee. (Application fee: $20, $10 if University of Rio Grande Alumni, $0 if completed online)
    2. An official transcript of credit from an accredited undergraduate college or university of attendance showing completion of Bachelor's Degree (Waived if you are a graduate of the Bunce School of Education at the University of Rio Grande).
    3. A copy of a valid teaching certificate or license from a state with a reciprocity agreement with Ohio.
    4. Three (3) recommendation letters attesting to appropriate educational experience and probable success as a graduate student.

Students wishing to transfer credits use the following steps to submit to your mentor/advisor:

  1. Letter requesting transfer credits*
  2. Official transcripts from transfer college
  3. Submit syllabi and/or course descriptions

Note: up to 9 graduate hours may be transferred.  No courses completed over 5 years ago will be considered for transfer.

Note to International Students:  Leave the Social Security field blank, be sure to check "No" for US Citizen. In the State field in the address also put in "XX".
